St. Rose of Lima Educational Center:
210 Chapel Street, Layton, Utah

St Rose of Lima is a 17,000 S.F. school addition to an existing Catholic Church. A new kitchen facility was added, as well as nine new classrooms, offices, restrooms, and a social center. The classrooms are wood framed on slab on grade with a brick veneer, while the social center is a round space built with split faced CMU block on the inside and stone veneer on the outside. The site work consisted of new utilities, added parking, and landscape. The facility was built with many green features including: Use of natural light and shading, carpet tiles and linoleum with recycled materials, high efficiency heating and cooling, high insulation values, and low VOC paint products.
